Cancer Care
Our Hospital operates as a satellite
chemotherapy clinic to the Northwestern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre
of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.
Our nurses who
deliver chemotherapy are specially trained. Patients typically receive
their first treatment in the larger hospital and then return to the
community for subsequent treatments.
The Regional Cancer Care Program's
health care team continues to provide the medications required, monitor
the patient's progress and work closely with our chemotherapy nurses.
