Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy
Government organizations hold different types of information. In Ontario access to and privacy of each type of information is governed by specific legislation: Personal health information, by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Business or other information by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital protects the information of businesses and individuals who come into contact with us, be it staff, volunteers, business partners, other service providers or members of the general public. We collect only the specific information that is related directly to and needed for operations and to provide our services. Hospital records that are not subject to statutory privacy rules will be protected in accordance with established Hospital policies.

Notice of Availability of Documents
Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital notifies the public that:
- Any documents that are required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and its related Regulations are available upon request.
- For persons with disabilities that require these documents in an accessible format, they will be provided in a format that takes into consideration the individual needs of the requester.
- This process will be completed in a timely manner, and the format will be agreed upon through discussions between the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital and the requestor.
